Week # 2 - Changing Relationship with the phone to INCREASE productivity to reach life GOALS
Week #1 was Baruch HaShem (Thank G-d) successful as I was able to put my phone down at 11pm and didn’t touch it after that… (see week #1 here https://bit.ly/3LEv0CE) One time I realized I forgot to message an employee, but I decided it was better to wait till the morning than picking up the phone… Of course, the phone started buzzing at 11:01pm every night, but oh well I was done with it… and, I got up earlier this week than I had been in the prior weeks allowing me more time in the day to accomplish my goals!
Here is the plan for week #2:
This one is going to be a little harder and I wonder am I the only one that actually does this… ever go on a short drive and look at your phone when you get in the car, when you stop, when you get out??? It’s like what is really going to happen in 10 minutes? Nothing… I go into synagogue for hours and hours at a time and my phone stays in the car and everything is fine…
Goal for this week (in addition to maintaining the 11pm no-touch policy from Week #1) is for every time I go in the car for less than 20 minutes, to get out of the car without looking at the phone… If I am driving to the supermarket 10 minutes away, I can look at it when I get in the car, but not again till at least 20 minutes… we got this!!
It’s all about little steps… I am not saying my approach is the best for everyone, but I have thought about a slow, methodical method to achieve my goals.
Thank you and many blessings,
Moshe
