Reintroducing Jump Into Shape
Attention, attention!
To the hundreds of people who have tried Jump Into Shape at some point over the years: I think it’s time we reintroduce ourselves.
If your memory of Jump Into Shape is a bunch of people jumping rope together on Zoom, you remember correctly. But if you think that’s still what Jump Into Shape is today, you may be surprised by how much has changed.
As many of you know, Jump Into Shape started very simply. I began exercising around age 40 after years of doing virtually no exercise and discovered how effective a weighted jump rope could be. What started with about 10 people exercising together eventually grew into nearly 30 live online classes each week. During COVID especially, people joined from their homes and exercised together with me and our growing group of trainers.
It was exciting, and it worked. But over time I realized something important: People didn’t need another exercise class. They needed a way to make exercise part of their life.
So We Changed
Today, there are no regularly scheduled live classes. Instead, we have an extensive online fitness platform centered around structured programs, variety, flexibility, personalization, and perhaps most importantly, accountability.
Today, Jump Into Shape has over 60 preset programs and more than 5,000 on-demand classes.
Rather than asking, “What class do I feel like doing today?” We want you to know what you’re doing today, tomorrow, and next week. You can follow a preset program, or we can create a custom program based on your current fitness level, goals, schedule, equipment, ability, and the type of exercise you actually enjoy.
And we don't expect you to figure that out on your own. Every new Jump Into Shape member receives a free Discovery Call with me. We discuss your goals, where you're currently holding, any physical or time limitations you may have, what types of exercise you enjoy, and what you're realistically able to commit to. From there, we'll identify the preset program that makes the most sense for you, or, if none of them is quite right, we'll create a custom program.
And we have gone far beyond jumping rope.
Our program library includes strength training with dumbbells, bodyweight workouts, cardio, Pilates, core, stretching and mobility, resistance training, kickboxing, stability ball workouts, low-impact exercise, ropeless workouts, boot camps, prenatal and postpartum options, and programs specifically designed for older adults. We still have plenty of jump rope programs, including programs using everything from lighter ropes to our 1 lb and 2 lb heavy ropes, but today that's only one part of Jump Into Shape.
Some programs are just 10- or 12-minutes per class. Others are 15-, 18-, 20-, or 30-minutes. We have programs for someone who hasn't exercised in years and wants to begin again carefully, as well as programs that will challenge someone who is already in excellent condition.
Different People Need Different Trainers
Something else has changed tremendously: It's no longer just Moshe. Over the years, we have brought in trainers with different backgrounds, specialties, personalities, and styles. That's intentional. The trainer who motivates me may not motivate you. The workout I like may be the workout you dread. Today you might do strength training with one trainer, Pilates with another, kickboxing with another, and cardio with someone else. You don't need to fit into Jump Into Shape. We want Jump Into Shape to fit into you.
But One Thing Hasn't Changed
From the beginning, I've believed that one of the biggest obstacles to exercise isn't knowing that exercise is good for us. Most of us already know that. The challenge is actually doing it consistently. That's why accountability is such an important part of what we do. We don't want you signing up, exercising enthusiastically for a week, disappearing for three weeks, and then realizing you're paying for something you're not using. Our goal is to help you establish a routine and stick with it.
Accountability goes well beyond simply checking in.
We've added free contests and prizes throughout the year to give you another reason to press play on the days you might not feel like it. We celebrate milestones, recognize consistency, and use some friendly competition to keep exercise fun and motivating.
We've also developed our own leaderboards and personalized stats system. After doing a class, you'll receive a customized message showing your approximate calories burned for that class, along with your totals for the week, month, year, and all time.
We don't stop there.
You'll also see how you rank against other Jump Into Shapers. For some people, watching those numbers grow is incredibly motivating. For others, it's seeing their name move up the leaderboard. And for some, it's simply knowing that every class counts and that someone is paying attention. Because everything is online and on demand, you don't have to organize your life around our schedule. Exercise has to fit into your life, not the other way around. Traveling? Your program can travel with you. Busy day? Perhaps today is a 10 or 12 minute workout. Need something different because of an injury, limitation, or change in circumstances? We can adjust.
Maybe It's Time to Meet Again
To everyone who did Jump Into Shape two, three, five, or even seven years ago, I want to officially say:
Hi. I'm Moshe. Nice to meet you again. The name is the same. The mission is the same. I still want to help people become healthier, stronger, and more consistent with exercise.
The Jump Into Shape of today is very different from the Jump Into Shape you may remember.
If it's been a few years, I'd like to hear where you're currently holding. Maybe you're exercising regularly and doing great. Maybe you've stopped completely. Maybe carrying groceries, walking long distances, climbing stairs, or getting up from the floor isn't as easy as it used to be. Or maybe you simply know it's time to start taking your health more seriously.
Whatever the answer is, let's schmooze.
With over 60 preset programs, more than 5,000 classes, custom programming, different trainers and exercise styles, and a tremendous focus on accountability, there are a lot more ways today to find something that can work for you. No pressure. No obligation. Let's just talk about where you're holding today and see if the new Jump Into Shape might have something for the new you. Please schedule time on my calendar.
