Week #1 - Changing Relationship with the phone to INCREASE productivity to reach life GOALS
I have been thinking about this for a long time as I truly feel I can manage my phone and electronic use more effectively to accomplish more.
Here is the plan for week #1:
Write down a goal that I haven’t been able to reach lately - learn at least a chapter of the Rambam’s Mishnah Torah every day
Set a time that my phone goes down and I don’t look at it or touch, unless it’s an absolute emergency - 11pm is the time
If the urge comes to use the phone after 11pm, remember my prestated goal and consider how disconnecting will help me reach it - in bed earlier, up earlier, etc.
You may think this is easy and won’t accomplish much or start with putting the phone elsewhere, etc. I am not saying my approach is the best for everyone, but I have thought about a slow, methodical method to achieve my goals.
