Stepping It Up

**Shout Out to Our Jump Into Shape Members Who Are Really Stepping It Up!**

Many of our members are observant Jews, and October is filled with Jewish holidays—Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, and of course Shabbat (not a holiday, but also not a day for exercise).

The knee-jerk reaction for many during this time is, “There’s no time to exercise!” These holidays require a lot of time to prepare both physically and spiritually. On the days that aren’t holidays, members are often busy catching up on work and life, especially if they’re blessed with a family. It’s a busy time, no doubt.

In the past, I tried to convince our members of how important exercise is, especially during this season, to give them strength for all their religious and non-religious responsibilities. I’ll admit, I didn’t always succeed in getting the message across.

But this year, we’ve introduced a new program and challenge model. Classes are pre-prepared, and members receive an email reminder on the days they need to complete their workout. You see where I’m going with this?

I designed the schedule around the holidays and Shabbat, and it turns out there are still about 17 days in October where members can exercise. Over 40 members signed up for our Tishri/October Challenge, and many are working out more than they usually do!

**Takeaways:**

💪✨ Always MAKE time to exercise

💪✨ Plan ahead before deciding it's not possible

💪✨ Always find new ways to stay motivated

Many blessings,

Moshe
