Father's Day Revisited (a new definition)...

Father's Day Revisited (a new definition)...

At our Shabbos table yesterday I reiterated that I don't care much about Father's Day* as the Torah states that children are to honor their parents EVERY day. However, we can use Father's Day to honor our ultimate FATHER, HaShem (G-d), who loves us more than anyone and provides everything for us. I suggested to our kids to use this day as a stepping stone to:

1. Pray the morning prayers earlier than usual

2. Pray the afternoon prayers by 3pm

3. Be more careful to say Shema at night

4. Learn Torah everyday with me

Thank you and many blessings,

Moshe

*I don't care about Father's Day as a father, but as a son I try to make it a meaningful day for my father
