simchas chosson and kallah

Growing up not religious, many weddings I attended felt centered around the guests having a good time while the bride and groom hosted the event.
One of the beautiful things about a Jewish wedding is that it’s really the opposite.
The guests are there to bring simcha to the chosson and kallah. Their joy becomes our mission. Through dancing, singing, celebrating, and simply showing up with a full heart, we participate in the great mitzvah of משמח חתן וכלה — bringing happiness to the bride and groom as they begin building a new Jewish home together.
For a few hours, it’s not about us. It’s about elevating them, encouraging them, and surrounding them with love, energy, and community.
Please enjoy this short video of simchas chosson and kallah from a wedding last night.
