Look Into the Future

Shabbos is really the only day of the week that I get the opportunity to walk around town and observe people of all different ages.
Being that I work in health and fitness, it’s hard not to notice how differently people age depending on their health, mobility, and fitness level.
I see people my age.
I see people 10, 15, 20 years older.
Some are walking quickly and comfortably.
Some are moving slowly.
Some are struggling.
Some are walking with canes.
And it always makes me think:
What choices are we making now that will affect how we live 15, 20, or 30 years from now?
It’s my heartfelt tefillah that we should all merit to age with strength, health, independence, and dignity — to be able to walk unassisted, carry what we need to carry, and continue living active and meaningful lives.
Many brachos to everyone for strong bodies, healthy minds, and long healthy years ahead.
